Pedalling Prescotts
Whenever we are asked what THE route will be, we generally rattle off a list of countries with such confidence that people (including ourselves) actually believe we know what we are talking about. This could not be further from the truth.
Our plan is to follow (what we think is) the path of least resistance across Europe and Asia. By this we mean trying to avoid the biggest mountains, the coldest weather (given we are cycling towards the Asian winter this is going to be challenging) and any regions that might not be so welcoming towards two aliens on bikes.
The following is the very short list of what we do know:
a) We are cycling to Harwich and catching a ferry to the Hook-of-Holland (this has been booked)
b) We are cycling to Istanbul; via Tilburg, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, and Belgrade
From Istanbul; visas, weather, and distances become increasingly more challenging.
What we have planned is our best guess, but once we leave Istanbul we will be reassessing on a day-by-day/week-by-week basis.

I have seen on Facebook that you made it out to the volcanoes you were discussing with us on the truck, looked epic.
We are aware that the weather will be both hot and cold, but I am not too sure we are ready for it. We will just have to tuck into it and what happens, happens.
Hopefully you are still Living The Dream in Melbourne, if so a long overdue jar is required when we get there.
